A psychedelic voyage through electronica and techno April 03, 2010 06:05 AM PDT
A sideways excursion into dub, spanning several decades and continents, skin up a phat one, turn up the bass and get horizontal. Recorded for Big Chill's Purple Radio http://www.purple-radio.co.uk/ Got To Give It UpFebruary 19, 2010 02:30 PM PST

A New Year's hangover cure - an aural Bloody Mary maybe. Warm, smooth, soulful electronica (mostly), some lush vocals and the odd squelch of a 303. Happy 2010! Walking in the Rain

My November soul mix for Purple Radio's Saturday Soul. A seasonal, smoochy selection of tunes from the 60s to the naughties featuring Jean Carne, Eddie Kendricks, Erykah Badu and many more. Guaranteed to cure hangovers and the winter blues. Reach for the TruthSeptember 11, 2009 11:40 AM PDT
My set for Purple Radio's Saturday Soul slot. A slightly leftfield journey through mostly 1960's soul, some of it on a a psychedelic tip. I also made sure to include the great masters and mistresses of soul - Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Roberta Flack, Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson 5. |
About trixie deliteI have always been a vinyl junkie, my first 45s were old 70s disco classics like Le Freak by Chic. But the mania really started in 1988 at a club called Solaris in London, then Freedam and the legendary Tonka parties with DJs Harvey, Choci, Rev & Markie Mark. The whole scene changed my life and the music I heard then will always be close to my heart. I have DJed on and off since 1991 when I played for underground London sound system Fundamental and their notorious friends Spiral Tribe. Later that decade I played for the Shamen and Alabama 3 and at countless small parties. My DJing antics are pretty much over apart from at birthdays, weddings and barmitzvahs but music still plays a huge part in my life, loving listening to left field dance music, from house to soul, hiphop to jazz, electro to funk, dub to Latin, disco to Detroit techno and all things in between.
